Welcome to my massive Joovv Solo 3.0 review. I've integrated my very extensive testing of these last few months into this review. Here's what I found: ✅ I love that Joovv radically re-designed this panel - lots of thought and new tech has gone into it! Joovv has traditionally been a trendsetter in the red light therapy space and pushed competitors to make a better product. ✅ However, the big downside is literally the price you're paying: $1,400-1,650 USD including shipping and taxes depending on where you live. The base price is $1,365 USD excluding shipping and taxes. ✅ From a design perspective, the panel is really great - I had the best unboxing experience ever in this case. The panel only weighs 14 pounds because it doesn't have metal casing. The modular design has been overhauled and the panel has many grips and handles for easier transport. The control panel is also upgraded. ✅ The box contains all the normal inclusions, such as an instruction manual. However, the green-lens glasses are a nice upgrade over what the competition offers. The manual is also very good. Joovv also adds a unique floor stand which is great. ✅ The 2-year warranty is sub-par compared to the competition. There's also a 60-day return policy. ✅ The Joovv Solo 3.0 has 150 3W single-chip LEDs, split between 660nm and 850nm. Additionally, the near-infrared has a 10 Hz pulsing option. ✅ The 660nm red light peak aligns really well with my spectrometer. For near-infrared, it's 853nm, that's a very good income. ✅ The peak power reading I get with my spectrometer is 74.2 mW/cm2. For red only it's 45.2 and 66.3 mW/cm2. ✅ The average power output over 9 different points is 59.2 mW/cm2, which is quite good. ✅ The total power output, which uses the surface area of the panel, comes down to 84.9W. Across all readings, the power output has massively improved over the Joovv Solo 2.0 ✅ Wattage draw is 392W in total, with 213W on red only, and 196 on near-infrared light only. ✅ The hotspot test outcome is quite bad, actually - it's a bummer for me! ✅ The $ USD per LED is $9.10 which is high. The $ USD per Wattage output is $16.10, which is quite high too. ✅ EMF readings, especially electric field readings are higher than necessary even and in the cautious zone. The magnetic field readings weren't amazing either. ✅ Flicker is absent. ✅ The two fans are a little noise when used so the sound isn't amazing at 62.1 dB. The pitch is irritating to me. ✅ The control panel is well-designed. I like that the light intensity slowly increases over 10 seconds after turning it on. ✅ The very nice app acts as a second control panel. However, the app has additional functions not included in the control panel such as ambient mode, session beeping and logging, and panel syncing. The ambient has a 90-minute limit instead of 20 minutes. Regarding my experience, I haven't really noticed anything other than normal, which is the truth. As to what Joovv panel you should buy, bigger panels always offer more value for Joovv, so the Joovv Mini offers less value than the Solo 3.0, and the Duo is priced the same. The Elite does offer more value. Comparing the Solo 3.0 to the competition, the PlatinumLED BIoMax and MitoPRO are much better for many people, especially if you're looking for value and not maximizing bells and whistles. Lastly, my likes & dislikes: ✅ Like: great innovative design ✅ Like: power output is good ✅ LIke: great new bells & whistles ✅ Dislike: value offer is relatively low & price is high ✅ Dislike: hotspot Polkadot issue ✅ Dislike: bells & whistles only through app ✅ Dislike: only 2 wavelengths ✅ Dislike: magnetic and electric field EMF levels high ✅ Dislike: noise pollution is annoying ✅ Dislike: 2-year warranty only Want more red light therapy info?
